We'd been waiting for this all year - our first Christmas with our new little family member. Roland and I were both very excited about Tree Day arriving. We had been imaging how much Jess would love having a tree inside, how much she would love all the shiny decorations, and how we'd be spending all our time trying to stop her from pulling the whole thing down.
Well, it didn't really work out like that. She wasn't at all interested in the tree, its decorations or pulling its branches. So we look forward to next December when Jess will be big enough to put some decorations on herself!

As is becoming the usual, Christmas was in two parts this year. Christmas Eve was spent with the Adkins family in Warragul. We had a lovely dinner followed by some time sharing presents. Jess had a wonderful time with so many people around. That is, of course, until the man in the big, red suit arrived...

| Jess and Dad having fun with a little scooter. |
| Jess was very interested in baby cousin Max |
| The only good thing about Santa arriving was the big bell he brought. Jess had a great time playing with that. |
| And some lovely cuddles with Rosalie |
| Jess was super excited about discovering a baby doll inside the wrapping paper. She bounced up and down and couldn't wait to cuddle it. |
Jess did so well with all the excitment and a very late night. Next year we hope to make it Carol by Candlelight at the park as well!
Christmas Part Two began Christmas day. We shared our family presents in the morning then it was in the car and off the Nanny and Poppy's for Pike family Christmas
| Jess loved her Little People farm set! |
| Time with Poppy is always fun |
| Another wonderful noisy present! |
| Ooooh, nice new shirt! |
| WOW! Jess' first pony. It doesn't move but that is okay by Jess, she loves it! |
| Some crazy big kids and their presents |
| A very happy Nanny with her littlest grandchild, Ethan. |
| The lovely parents with their little boy. |
| Scally and Jess got along very well. Jess loves dogs and the dog loves pats! |
| Higher, higher! It wasn't just the little kids who enjoyed the park. |
It was a very successful first family Christmas. From Eynesbury though, it was straight to the boat to head to Tasmania...
