It was the first of what I'm hoping will be many visits to Warragul by my family. Mum and Dad came down for two nights with thoughts of wine touring and fishing. However, ridiculously hot weather kept us mainly housebound.
We did manage to brave the heat for long enough to allow Mum to do her mandatory shopping. Wild Dog Winery and Wild Dog Pizza both had stop offs, with the Thorpdale spud shed and Yarragon Village also receiving some of those dollars that are so highly valued in these tough economic time.
In return for the delicious cling peaches that made their way over from Bacchus Marsh, we picked a bag of oranges and lemons from trees here on the farm to send off to be distributed to other lucky family members (namely Julia).
But all too soon it was time for my folks to do what they love doing most, clocking up more km's on their odometer! So the fishing has been postponed until cooler weather, and winery tours will be attempted between a Thursday and Sunday, wen they are actually open.

A very subtle hint for more visitors.... thanks for the oranges. Freshly squeezed juice will be on the menu tomorrow for sure.
